Sandborn Canal, AK
Sandborn Canal is a secluded, off-the-beaten-path anchorage. Steep, tree-covered hillsides surround the anchorage and it feels like it would be secure in even the stormiest weather.
Charts for the area are not accurate. We took a mid-channel course and found it unobstructed. The bay is not as charted, but we found suitable anchorage in the middle, in about 70 feet with good holding.
