We left Pelican this morning just after 8am. The low clouds persisted but the rain we listened to overnight had mostly stopped. Conditions in Lisianski Strait as we headed west to the outside of Chichagof Island were calm and peaceful, and the sky brightened as we neared the ocean. Monday: We opted to leave Pelican on the earlier side (not waiting for the cafe or the store to open)…dropped our lines around 7am and headed for the outside of Chichagof (Pinta Cove, 29nm from Pelican). We had a relaxed morning in Stag Bay before departing for Pelican, less than two hours away. In the morning before we left, Sam came up with another fun experiment to try in the waffle iron: Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, and they turned out great!
