2022 Flotillas

We’ve decided to abbreviate our flotilla schedule this summer while Sam keeps Akeeva in Mexico for one more summer. Our 2022 northbound trip departs at the end of May from the San Juan Islands and ends in Juneau.

Slowboat flotillas are designed to be inspiring and empowering! Our goal is to visit the best destinations in the area, share our knowledge, and help participants become capable, confident cruisers. We like to have fun too! Most days have ample free time for fishing, kayaking, exploring by dinghy, or hiking on shore.

Our itineraries have enough flexibility to take advantage of spur-of-the-moment opportunities or the smoothest weather. In the evenings, we typically gather for happy hour or dinner on one of the lead boats, discuss the day, and plan for the next day. Throughout the trip, we’re happy to help however we can…whether that means helping you learn to fly a drone or replace a macerator (one is a lot more fun than the other!).

Slowboat flotilla participants love the experience! Many clients cruise with us summer after summer, while they enjoy learning about cruising in the PNW, socializing with new friends, and exploring our amazing cruising area. Read testimonials from past Slowboat cruisers by clicking here.

Flotilla 1 – Inside Passage, San Juan Islands to SE Alaska

Prevost Harbor to Juneau | May 27 to June 28 | SOLD OUT

Glaciers. Icebergs. Whales. Bears. Cruising to Alaska is about incomparable nature right in front of your eyes. It’s about not just seeing the world, but experiencing it. Join the Slowboat team as we cruise from the San Juan Islands to Southeast Alaska in 2022.

Four weeks on the Inside Passage! We’ll visit sandy beaches, ghost towns, fjords, tidewater glaciers, and more!

Every day gets better! As we travel north, structures on shore vanish, boat traffic diminishes, topography grows steeper and taller, and wildlife encounters become more frequent. We’ll visit highlights along the entire route, from the quaint town of Ganges the first night to majestic Ford’s Terror at the end. Along the way you’ll become an expert at operating your boat and navigating the intricacies of the Inside Passage and we’ll help you plan the rest of your summer.
