Day 20 | Flotilla to Alaska | Thoms Place to Wrangell

Before we left Thoms Place this morning, we pulled up the two crab pots we’d put out last night and had two male keepers (Dungeness). Finally! Crabbing has been slow this summer so far!

The weather was spectacular as we headed through Zimovia Narrows – warm and sunny with a light breeze from behind. Aboard Airship we enjoyed the ride from the flybridge.

As soon as we got to Wrangell we made crab bennie on Airship for brunch.

The rest of the day was spent exploring town and relaxing on board.

The group met in the evening and dinghied over to the Stikine Inn for dinner.

We returned to Heritage Harbor after dinner (such gorgeous evening light!). Scott and Brenda on Impulse had 7 Dungeness in their trap (right off the boat in the harbor)…3 big keepers! Woohoo!

Tomorrow…on to Petersburg!!
