We’re back!!
The 2025 Flotilla to Alaska officially began last night at Prevost Harbor on Stuart Island, but most everyone was in Anacortes the night before, so we had some extra time to get acquainted before our first official meeting. We left Cap Sante around noon yesterday, and Carrie (on Ranger Tug 29 named IF) got some great photos of a pod of transient orcas off of Shaw Island, including a little baby! (Thanks for sharing these, Carrie!)
We had a beautiful cruise over to Stuart Island, where we all anchored in Prevost Harbor for the night.

As soon as everyone was in and settled, we met for a super fun happy hour and plan discussion on Airship. Another great group to be traveling with for the next six weeks!
This year’s flotilla is as follows:
Carrie and Tony on Ranger Tug 29S IF (photo to come later…they’d left by the time we were out snapping photos from the dinghy this morning)
DeAnne and Dave (and Bodhi, their goldendoodle) on Nordic Tug 44 Turnagain:
Ralph and Jeannette on DeFever 49 Kali (photo to come, as they left from Cap Sante this morning after needing one more thing fixed before departure).
Ron and Jean on North Pacific 45 Sound Waves:
And us, on Airship:
After a short 16nm cruise up to Ganges and a variety of different experiences clearing customs, we eventually arrived and tied up at Ganges Marina, where we spent the afternoon doing some local wandering and provisioning.

We opted for dinner out tonight, since we’ll be at least 8 days between here and the next restaurant. Auntie Pesto’s had room for all ten of us and we had a excellent meal, and wonderful service. Ganges is always such a nice stop, especially with weather like today!
