We slept in again this morning at Ford’s Terror, and then Taylor made a super yum breakfast taco bar…scrambled eggs, hash browns, Jerry’s double-smoked bacon, tomatillo cream sauce, etc….and we had our breakfast on the flybridge, soaking in all the incredible scenery with more delicious food.

After pulling the shrimp pots for the last time (~30 more coonstripes), we pulled anchor and headed for the exit. When we entered Ford’s Terror two days prior, we came in right at slack, which was about 20-25 minutes after the published high tide. Today, we were maybe 30-40 minutes after high tide, but the current was still flooding at about 2-3 knots. Having some current against us as we exit early isn’t a big deal for us, but could be for a significantly slower boat.
We cruised down a super flat Endicott Arm with very little ice, and no whales.
Just outside Endicott Bar we anchored again at Wood Spit.
This panorama is looking from Airship into Stephens Passage. Glassy!
Kevin and Taylor went out to fish the tide change near the bar, and came back with several good Pacific Cod and two smallish halibut (perfect!)
After the guys cleaned fish, Lauren and I put together the dinner chef had prepped earlier in the day (I’m seriously getting used to this!): Shrimp Louie! I didn’t take any photos of dinner, but here’s the pile of fish we vacuum-sealed after dinner:
Up early tomorrow to head to Juneau!
