Well, there certainly has been a LOT of rain lately. Sure would love for that sun to come visit again. But hey, we did get a beautiful view of the mountains and glaciers (and the lighthouse) as we rounded Point Retreat.


IF and Turnagain peeled off and stopped in Auke Bay for fuel (IF) and to pick up a new davit motor (Turnagain). Once at the dock in Taku Harbor, people put out crab traps and walked around in the rain a bit.



For happy hour today, Andrea gave a short talk about bull kelp. Super informative, and was accompanied by some bull kelp pickles she made at home, served on a cracker with cream cheese and smoked salmon. I didn’t take any photos during the talk, dangit, but we had the big screen up with visual aids and everything. Luckily, DeAnne took this cool photo that shows both big screen AND snacks:
