We were originally planning to cruise 6nm or so down to a spot at the north tip of Campania Island yesterday morning, but we decided to stay another day here (since the fishing is good) to hopefully add more salmon to the freezer.

Later in the afternoon, about 30 minutes after I looked over toward shore where a little trickling stream was emptying into the cove and said “there really should be bears over there” … a black bear sow and two cubs emerged from the trees and made their way along the rocky shore past Airship. Mama was turning over rocks and crunching on whatever yummies she found (occasionally joined by a cub). Super cute!

We grilled some fresh king salmon over at Russ and Missie’s boat for dinner, and Missy made a big salad and some wild rice to go with it…super delicious…over all a great evening after a fantastic, sunny day in a beautiful spot!
