We had a gorgeous, calm cruise from Takatz Bay, across Chatham Strait and over to Honeydew today!

Spotted a few whale spouts in the distance, but other than that, just blue skies and puffy clouds.

As we were approaching Kuiu Island and Keku Strait, we could see fog ahead. Also, check out this crazy sky!

We got into some thick fog and thought our fun was over as we neared our intended anchorage, but we ended up coming out nice and clear on the other side of the fog. We dropped anchor in this gorgeous spot…the more northern spot in Honeydew.

We got together with Dave and Kyle on the flybridge of Turnagain for happy hour.

Kevin got a few aerials of the area:
Tonight’s sunset…to end a beautiful day!
We’ll head around to Portage Bay tomorrow, and hopefully see some whales! There were reports from a few days ago at Pinta Point — a large group bubblenet feeding — we’re hoping they’re still around! This whole area has been rich with whales the past few years. Fingers crossed!
