We decided to leave early from Flynn Cove today to make the slack (or close to it) at Inian Pass, and also allow some extra time in case there was any good humpback activity near Point Adolphus. We leisured late this morning in Funter Bay and didn’t leave until after 11am. Another gorgeous, sunny day! We watched the F1 race (Belgian Grand Prix, vroom!) and then pulled our anchor and headed out into the mostly glassy Icy Strait toward Flynn Cove. Another sunny day in Ford’s Terror! We’re gonna soak it all up, too, because looking ahead shows a whole bunch of cloudy/rainy days. Last night at Wood Spit, just as we were going to bed, a humpback cruised past us, spouting and lunge feeding as it made its way around the spit. The light was very low, but I took a few shots anyway. Super cool!
