Day 31 | 2025 Flotilla to Alaska | Red Bluff Bay to Warm Springs Bay

I took this photo late last night of Admiralty Dream and a superyacht whose name I can’t remember, all lit up. These boats on charter seem to stay lit up like this all night! Kinda pretty, kinda not.

Last night in Red Bluff Bay

We’d set the prawn traps toward the entrance the day we arrived, but only procured one (very large) spot prawn with that set, so in the morning before we left Kevin headed out to pick up the pots in the dinghy and I motored out in Airship to pick him up.

But the second set (in new spots) ALSO only resulted in one more spot prawn, so basically a bust this visit!

We cruised the 21nm up to Warm Springs Bay and it was crowded as expected. There’s a seine opening for this area on Sunday so all the fishing boats are staging for that. Sound Waves got space on the dock and IF rafted to them. Airship anchored in the cove across the bay, and Turnagain came in and rafted to us (there were three other boats in here). Kali continued up to Takatz Bay and we’ll meet back up with them tomorrow.

Carrie sent a few photos from over on the dock:

Dave and DeAnne came over for a little impromptu happy hour chat, leaving Bodhi aboard Turnagain because he was still a little wet from swimming, but he was clearly very envious of our social time. He kept putting his paw up to the window (as if he was trying to “shake”) which was just so hard to ignore while talking! So cute!!!

Not a ton of photos today because it was gray and rainy all day and we weren’t at the dock…we may motor over in the morning if there’s room before heading the 9nm up to Takatz Bay.
