Day 46 | 2025 Flotilla to Alaska | Ford’s Terror to Tracy Arm Cove

The rain persists. Yes it’s beautiful still, but we’re all a bit over the rain at this point.

High tide wasn’t until just after 3:30pm today so we slept in again, checked the shrimp pots a few more times (we did well again this year, but we also forgot to take photos of our haul), and helped several folks with their rest-of-the-summer plans.

DeAnne shared these photos from a run to shore with Bodhi:

She also sent me this awesome photo of Ralph and his son Vincent with Bodhi!

We pulled our anchors around 3:30pm and got to the exit a little before slack and had 1-2kts flooding against us as we transited the narrow exit.

Also got to have a brief VHF chat with friend Pete from Alaskan Odyssey/AWOL Adventures. They had charter guests aboard and were anchored outside the entrance and coming in to explore by dinghy. This is a good option if you don’t want to be bound by the high slack entrance guidelines to get inside.

The color of this water is so beautiful

We all cruised back to Tracy Arm Cove and dropped the hook just after 7pm. I made some risotto to go with some of our fresh shrimp, sauteéd some broccoli, and we had a delicious dinner, and a super fun visit from friends Brian and Allie on Knot to Worry and Rob and Cheryl on Objee.

We’ll head for Juneau in the morning!
