Today we made our way from Lowe Inlet up the remainder of Grenville Channel to Prince Rupert, our last stop in BC before we attempt to cross Dixon Entrance into Alaska. It was smooth sailing, and a couple of boats had a guest raven aboard for part of the journey.

We arrived at Prince Rupert and tied up at the Prince Rupert Rowing and Yacht Club. The crew at PRRYC was waiting for us on the docks and were extremely helpful getting everyone docked and secured safely. This is a wonderful and welcoming place to stay, and it was fun to be on a dock again after so many nights at anchor.
PRRYC and Cow Bay Marina are both excellent facilities and well run. It helps make Prince Rupert a great stop after cruising the northern BC coast.

We couldn’t miss sushi in Prince Rupert. There are at least two great sushi restaurants. We opted for a group dinner at Oba Sushi.
Prince Rupert is also a good provisioning stop, but we generally take advantage of that on the way south after we just entered Canada for our journey back toward home. Since we are planning to cross into the US tomorrow, we’ll re-provision in Ketchikan to avoid having any produce or other items we can’t take across the border.
We plan an early departure tomorrow morning to exit through Venn Passage and on to Alaska!
