This morning we slept in, made breakfast, and got a nice relaxed start to the day. Very nice after the very long day yesterday (64nm or so) from Rescue Bay to Lewall Inlet. Today we cruised just 8nm or so down to Pruth Bay. Kali left a couple hours before us, and they were all ready for a walk on the beach by the time we arrived. We dinghied over to the dock of the Hakai Institute, and headed for the beach!
When Ralph was here on their way north, he and his son Vincent saw a wolf on the west beach…how cool!
All we saw was this toad on the side of the trail.
The beaches here are so beautiful, and we were thankful to have some decent weather for wandering around.
Lots of wolf tracks around here, for sure.

I followed some tracks up into these rocks…
The tracks ended at the rocks (probably went up and over the rocks and around to the other side to the left).
Ralph took this nice “ussie” of the four of us, Kevin, me, Mike, and Ralph, before we headed back to the boats.
After our beach walk, Kevin went back out to Hakai Passage to look for some fish, but didn’t find any.
We got together on Kali for some pasta with meat sauce, broccoli, and sourdough bread. Fun, and yummy! Tomorrow off to Fury Cove and hopefully around Cape Caution the next day (or else we have to wait five more days). Fingers crossed!
