Our stops in Ketchikan can be quite busy! Sometimes our stops are brief and frantic, but we stayed three nights this visit. Having some down time to explore and chill and do boat chores (and go out to dinner multiple times!) after several long days in a row was rejuvenating, and the sunny weather helped a ton!

People visited downtown, dodged cruise ship visitors on colorful Creek Street, took in the totems at Saxman Village, reprovisioned for groceries, did boat projects, ate fish and chips, picked up packages from Frontier Shipping, and got a lot of good walking in!

Craig flew home to Miami, and Laura flew in from Portland to join the group (yay! finally!) with deluxe airport dropoff and pickup by dinghy from Kevin. The Ketchikan Airport is across Tongass Narrows from Bar Harbor, so as long as the conditions are agreeable, it’s our favorite way to get people to and from the airport.

For our last night in town, the whole group met at Ocean View Restaurant for Mexican (and Italian) food, margaritas, and the plan for tomorrow: on to Vixen Inlet!
