We’ve logged almost 700 nights in our Airstream since we purchased it in 2010 (a 2010 27’FB International), and almost 600 nights aboard Airship (2013 Nordic Tug 34) since it joined our family in 2014. For the last couple weeks, I’ve been cruising Lake Union and Lake Washington. As a boater who prefers anchoring to tying up at marinas, these lakes present a bit of a problem. While several bays look appealing, anchoring is highly restricted. Apparently anchored boats have caused problems in the past. After we left snowy Blake Island more than a week ago, we headed back to Seattle for a few days, and then over to Poulsbo for the Winter Rendezvous. We also drove up to Anacortes to take a test ride on a new Nordic Tug 40 with Seakeeper stabilization. Impressive! (And will probably cost us all some $$$ at some point. Oh, boats!) We’re on Blake Island! We cruised over from Seattle yesterday morning, met up with a few other brave winter boaters, had a great evening last night with happy hour and dinner together on Safe Harbour, and woke up this morning to a gorgeous snowy landscape!
